He described this process as an 'institutional method of vote theft' supported by the Election Commission. Gandhi stated, 'After privatizing public sector units, the Narendra Modi government now aims to steal the votes of the poor with the help of the Election Commission through SIR.'

Criticism of the Election Commission

He sarcastically referred to the Election Commission as an 'electoral blunder', asserting that this move is unconstitutional and aims to disenfranchise marginalized communities ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar.

Commitment to Protect Voter Rights

Rahul Gandhi emphasized that the India alliance will not allow this to happen in Bihar. He asserted that the Constitution grants equal rights to every citizen, and this action is entirely against constitutional principles. He warned that the people of Bihar will respond decisively to the BJP and its allies in the forthcoming assembly elections.
